Sometimes a collaboration comes along that really takes you by surprise and really makes you go huh, and NetEase Games' new team-up for LifeAfter really caught me off-guard. For a limited time, you will be able to obtain exclusive crossover items with the popular French novella; The Little Prince.

Popular is in fact an understatement, as The Little Prince is one of the best-selling books of all time, and tells the story of the titular prince recanting his life story of travelling to many planets to an aircraft pilot who crashed into the Sahara desert as he is fixing his plane. On the surface, there isn't much overlap between this and LifeAfter, but the book touches on the themes of loneliness and the value of approaching everything with an open mind, both of which show up in the game. Or it is just a big-name crossover, who knows?

What we do know however is that you can grab yourselves a host of new outfits and a brand-new vehicle to help you explore, much as the Prince did. The Star Seeker will allow you to roam the wilderness and even has room for a second player. Bear in mind however that it is a bicycle, so not much protection. The Prince was sadly too young for tanks.

Until September 15th you can also get your hands on three collaboration outfits. The Wildnerness Explorer and Prince and the Rose outfits are based on the two protagonists of the story, or you can honour the true hero of the story with the Fox’s Wish set. It is a strange but heartwarming tale.

LifeAfter is available to download now from the App Store and Google Play, and good news for any old Team Fortress fans, you can also collect two new special planetary-themed hats.
