If you prefer the spooky to the festive months then you are in luck, as Playdigious has announced a Christmas release for the mobile port of Little Nightmares. Starting December 12th, you will be able to take Six into the jaws of The Maw wherever you happen to be.

First released in 2017, Little Nightmares follows the diminutive yellow raincoat-wearing Six as she finds herself trapped in a cage aboard The Maw, a giant underwater vessel that plays host to the most grotesque of dinner parties. Armed with just a lighter and fighting the pangs of hunger, you will need to navigate your way to safety, avoiding a myriad of dangers to hopefully escape this foreboding place.

This is quite to haul for mobile users, as Little Nightmares is arguably one of the most outstanding Indie games to be released. A testament to how critical acclaim doesn’t need to be all flashy and in your face, the suspense and simplicity of this title do wonders to keep you on the edge throughout the story. Thanks in large part to this more subtle nature, it is a perfect title for mobile, and fingers crossed it will lead to more from the series.

As you would hope, there has been a bit of an overhaul for the mobile release. The interfaced has been revamped for portable devices, which is pretty encouraging considering the console version wasn't that cramped to begin with, the developers have put a lot of effort into every bit of this port. It is also compatible with iCloud and MFI Controllers, and you glory hunters can fill out that Game Center achievements.

Little Nightmares will be available to download from the App Store and Google Play for $8.99, or you can pre-register and get a special discounted price of $6.99.
