Despite how popular it has historically been to relentlessness bag on them for whatever reason, Nickelback is a huge band that has released some brilliant songs, and now they are bringing their talents to Dungeon Hunter 6, with a collab that will see the band produce a nostalgia-filled soundtrack for the storied series.

Since 2009, the Dungeon Hunter series has been gripping the mobile gaming community for five action-packed titles and counting, with its enticing loot, boot, and shoot mechanics, just less shooting and more stabbing, but still! You can hack and slash your way through, surprisingly, dungeons, solo or with a guild, for maximum spelunking fun. There is even a pretty nifty Stronghold system for you to populate with creates and defend in asynchronous multiplayer, so you aren’t always stuck underground.

It has been eight long, hard years since Dungeon Hunter 5 was released, but soon the next instalment of the acclaimed series will land, as Dungeon Hunter 6 is ready to burst out the gates on October 13th, at least in Europe, North America, and Oceania regions. Soon you will be able to create your own Warrior, Assassin, Archer, Mage or Boon Sister because they couldn't spell Priest, although I do hope they yell Boon whenever they cast a spell.

In order to reach maximum hacking and slashing, you just need the right music, which is why this team-up with Nickelback should get your blood pumping. Regardless of any arguments about selling out or pandering, you can't deny that the band can and does knock out some incredibly catchy songs. Titled “The Legend is Back”, October will be hitting millennials with the biggest of nostalgia hammers.

Dungeon Hunter 6 is available to pre-order on the App Store and Google Play, and you can even look at these photographs from the game.
