It has been quite a few years since we have been able to enjoy the grandaddy of over-the-top combo action adventures, but the light is on the horizon as Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat has opened for pre-registration. The only question is; will they be able to top the iconic opening movie from DmC 3?
Developed by NebulaJoy under the ever-watchful eyes of Capcom, Peak of Combat brings that inimitable action to your phone, complete with mind-blowing aerial combos, the unmistakably beautiful gothic art style, and a host of familiar faces. There will even be a co-op mode, and even more excitingly, PvP. Devil May Cry fights against another player just screams a crazy good time.
Handling a much-beloved series such as Devil May Cry definitely has its unique challenges, lest we forget the Dante redesign drama from the Ninja Theory reboot. However, NebulaJoy seems to be handling it quite well. Peak of Combat has already been through beta testing, and the developers regularly share updates on their social media accounts to keep everyone updated.
In fact, one of the most requested features by the community has already been added; controller support. If you are like me with big hands and clumsy fingers, this is exceptionally good news given the series' reliance on combos and flowing action battles. Not that I was any good with a controller, mind you.
Not that anyone needs more incentive than just the name, but there is currently a pre-registration campaign ongoing. At the time of printing, there has already been enough interest to get everyone 100K Hunters Red Orb*50k and 500K Hunters Demonic Potion*50, but there is still a bounty of Hunters Gem milestones to reach, as well as the final 5M Hunters Hidden Record Seal*10. If the social media accounts also gain 500k followers, everyone will get an additional 200 Gems.
Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat is available to pre-order now from the App Store and Google Play.
