It is an exciting time for the Marvel universe, as Contest of Champions has unveiled its first-ever original hero. On top of this monumental moment, you can also take on some brand new bosses, and the Battlefield Brawl gears up for this weekend.

Kabams’ first original hero is a member of the First Nations people; Chee’ilth. After an attack at the nuclear facility, Chee’ilth town is pummeled by waves of gamma radiation, the big, bad monster maker. As she charges in to rescue her family, she wins the respect of the spirits Brother Grizzly and Sister Eagle, who bestow their powers upon her. Her background will be fully explored thanks to the official comic from Marvel.

Chee’ilth will be launching this November, and we haven’t seen many clips of her in action, but the behind-the-scenes video shares a little bit of her skill set. Brother Grizzly is a warrior who will bestow some giant strikes against her opponents, whilst Sister Eagle seems to add a bit of mystical range, so Chee’ilth is looking to be pretty well-rounded.

Outside of new characters, Kabam is preparing for another first, the live fan celebration event and tournament, taking place October 20th and 21st at The Gaming Stadium in Vancouver. The Battlerealm Brawl will feature 8 of the world's top players battling it out, and fans can grab tickets for free to attend in person, or you can check out Kabam’s Twitch for the live stream.

Finally let’s head back into the territory of new characters, with Act 8’s surprise custom villains, unique to Contest of Champions. During October you can take on Scytalis, a twisted dark version of Natasha Romanov, an even more violent alter-ego of Bruce Banner in Bahamet, or see what would happen if Tony Stark went the supervillain route with Cerastes. Act 8.3 will launch on October 18th.

Marvel: Contest of Champions is available to download now from the App Store and Google Play.
