After restoring a measure of peace to Fyxestroll Garden, the Trailblazer returns to Huerta Space Station and immediately finds a new problem in Honkai: Star Rail's version 1.6 update. Madam Ruan Meis’ experiments in the Seclusions Zone have gotten out of hand, and it is up to our hero to tackle another grave threat.
Version 1.6, Crown of the Mundane and Divine, also brings a new DLC of the Simulated Universe: Gold and Gears. The Path of Erudition will debut, with Hoyoverse experimenting with separate dice from paths. This new dice has six slots that players can fill with varying Dice Face effects, with more to collect through Trailblaze Secrets.
The Critter Pick Scavenging event will also open its doors, tasking Trailblazers to care for and raise these newly arrived lifeforms. Follow the manual and add new cultivation techniques to your repertoire as you shepherd these adorable little creatures. There will also be a few gameplay improvements in 1.6. Including new stages in the Forgotten Hall and the incorporation of Pure Fiction.
Three new characters will be shooting for the stars and vying for a spot on your teams, starting up the five-star ice type Madam Ruan Mei. Member 81 of the Genius Society and one of the founders of the Simulated Universe, she is a very tough customer. Her skills are capable of increasing Weakness Break’s efficiency of her allies, leading to massive damage.
Continuing this theme of intellectualism, the second new character is another five-star, and a member of the Intelligentsia Guild, Dr Ratio. An Imaginary-type character, he knows the best way to vanquish a foe is to kick them when they are down. As such, he has a higher chance of launching follow-up attacks on foes with numerous debuffs. All players with the mail feature will be gifted this character when the Panta Rehai event warp starts.
Finally taking a small step down to four-star, the last debuting teammate is the Quantum type Xueyi. Having had their original body replaced years ago with a puppet system, she must continue to apprehend culprits, lest the Commission shut her down. To help with this goal, her Ultimate deals Quantum Damage and Toughness depletion whilst ignoring Weakness Types.
