Nexon and Nitro Studio have come out all guns blazing with the latest update for their hit racer KartRider: Drift. Titled RISE, it will bring a collaboration with the legends that are Automobili Lamborghini, which somehow isn’t a run-away headline thanks to some fantastic tweaks made to Speed Mode as well.

For a limited time, you can sit behind the wheel of three Lamborhini-styled karts right through until March 13th. The Lamborghini Aventador Ultimate Roadster, Huracán EVO Spyder and Urus Performante are all up for grabs, and it must be said they are some of the best-looking collab vehicles there have been.

In some equally intriguing news, Speed Mode has gotten quite the update in the form of a new Kart tuning system. At their base, all Karts will have the same default speed and acceleration, however as they are updated through the Proficiency System, you will start to unlock new Abilities.

There are also six basic tuning options to choose from for ultimate customizability. The Booster Acceleration and Drift Acceleration will give you speed, the Boost Duration is perfect for long straights, and the Boost Charge Amount is a nice all-rounder for any occasion. Long Slide Drift Sustainability is great for the bendy curves, and if you are a terrible drifter, invest in the very niche Maintain Boost after Wall Collision Boost.

Adding to this, each racer now has their own special skills to suit your style, for example, Brodi can install a Boost Zone ahead of them, and Kris can change opponents held items to bananas. Put this together with the quality-of-life updates such as improved matchmatching and a decrease in returning to the lobby between matches, and this game has got a lot more interesting.
