Gaming in general has evolved at an astonishing rate, but it is on mobile where you really see it. As a kid, we had a Nokia brick and Snake, but now you can pull out a small device to enjoy some triple-A action games with zero concerns, and now for Apple users, you can play one of the most frantic of them all; Warframe.

If you have not played it, Warframe is a very fluid action game in which players take control of a Tenno, a race of ancient warriors who can slip into a variety of the titular Warframes to whip out fantastical skills, and bounce all over the place like a hyperactive bouncy ball, catapulting off walls as you shoot and smack enemies. It is chaotic fun, and now, you can take that fun on the road.

For those veterans of the series worried that they would need to start over then you are in luck, as Warframe on mobile is both Cross Platform Save and Cross Platform Play. I’m not sure why the developers had to specify both, they kind of go hand in hand, but you know, at least it is unequivocal.

To coincide with this launch, Digital Extremes is offering players a special new Starter Weapon Pack. This includes the Aeolak primary weapon, which is an automatic rifle, a Maxed Serration Mod, and 100 Platinum to spend in-game. You can pick this up on any platform you like, limited to one per account, for just $4.99. Pick this up, and pair it with the day one log-in reward of a Bombyx Syandana, read a fancy coak, and a 3-day Affinity booster, and you will be carving through the competition.

Warframe is available to download now from the App Store, and it even includes the recently released and acclaimed update; Whispers in the Walls.
