Honkai: Star Rail will delve deeper into Penacony when Version 2.1 launches on March 27th, with some of Xianzhou Luofu's friends, Luocha and Jingliu, joining in the fun. There will also be a batch of new allies to recruit when the update drops, eager to help you uncover the secrets of this strange place.
In terms of new characters, there will be three making their debuts. Acheron is a Lightning character on the Nihility path. Her kit focuses on accumulating charges that can come from her skill, or any other ally inflicting a debuff, so if you were lucky enough to get Black Swan recently, you might have a good team building here.
For those lacking defence, Aventurine will be a Preservation character on the Imagination path, with a skill capable of imparting a self-regenerating shield, which looks fantastic. Both of these are five-stars, and our final character is the four-star Gallagher, but don't let that fool you. He is an Abundance character whose ultimates inflict a debuff on foes that allows allies to heal by attacking them, which sounds great for an AOE or hyper-aggressive team.
This update also coincides with Star Rail's one-year anniversary, and HoYo is celebrating with some style. When 2.1 launches, players can take part in a host of events that can result in up to 20 Star Rail Special Passes, needed to pull on character banners, and 1,600 Stellar Jades, enough for another 10 pulls.
The Immersive Interactive Exhibition will also open, which is an online experience with a section themed after the main locations from the game; Herta Space Station, Belobog, the Xianzhou Luofu, and Penacony. For a more personal experience, if you happen to be in the areas of Los Angeles, Paris, or Berlin at the end of the month you can attend one of the Global Offline Celebrations, with some cool gear up for grabs.
