Endless Runners are all but a staple on mobile, obviously, just look at Subway Surfers. We all have our favourites, I, for one, was partial to the Adventure Time one before it shuttered, and we are soon to receive another choice as Super Impact announces a release date for Sidestep Storm.

As you might expect from the title, Sidestep Storm plops you right in the middle of an urban environment right in the middle of some pretty windy weather, and what better to do during this phenomenon than go for a good run? Of course, with big wind comes a cavalcade of debris to avoid.

A neverending stream of tumbling automotives will be hurtling towards you at breakneck speeds, with a plethora of speedbumps causing these flying metallic monsters to bounce around most erratically. All you can do is dodge and dive your way to safety, right up until you misjudge a bounce and take a Ford Focus to the face.

To help in this hopeless dash, you can pick yourself up a variety of powerups and upgrades. Strap on some rollerblades to speed up, not that you want to dash even quicker towards the objects of doom, or play it safe and grab onto the world's strongest inflatable ball capable of deflecting any car that comes your way.

Something I find very interesting when watching the trailer though, and something that might place Sidestep Storm further apart from other runners, is that it looks like the obstacles have collision physics with each other. When powerups and the storm itself batter objects together, it could be very fun and chaotic.

Sidestep Storm will be available to download from Google Play starting April 26th, with pre-registration available now. There is no concrete date for Apple players, but it will definitely be following shortly after.
