It has been just over one year since Hoyoverse debuted their trading card game, Genius Invocation, into Genshin Impact, and the developers have really pushed it as its own thing. To their credit, it has taken off, so much so that we are now welcoming the Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup.

Astra Carnival is a very Genshin name for something, but what the Prince Cup is in plain terms is a big card game tournament for players of Genius Invocation. Not only can you test your skills and have fun, but each region will have a prize pool of 60,000 USD, just enough to get you one character from the current banners.

To account for the large influx of Genshin Players expected to join the Prince Cup will be split across two regions; the Atlantic and Pacific. And the best part is that any player can battle for a place, provided they have 15 Character Cards, have a Player Level of 7, and be at least 18. Then, you can apply to join the Wild Card Competition for the Pacific or Atlantic Cup.

The Wild Card stages will be a best-of-three, single-elimination tournament with eight spots open to take you to the Regular Season. The Atlantic Region takes place between the 26th and 28th of April, with the Pacific players battling it out between the 17th and 19th of May. Even if you don’t advance, anyone who plays a Wild Card game will walk away with 160 Primogems.

These eight qualifiers will meet you with 24 players from the Cat’s Tail Gathering selection competition to result in a pool of 32 duelists in the Regular Season. Five weeks of matches will take place, after which comes the Knockout stage for the final top eight, all in with a shout of winning a slice of the 60K.

To get in some practice ahead of the Cup, download Genshin Impact from the App Store and Google Play now.
