It has been teased for a while, but now it is finally time, terrible pun very much intended, to log into Warframe and start grinding for the blueprints as Protea Prime finally arrives. We have also been treated to a new cinema trailer, and it looks pretty impressive.

For a quick recap on just who Protea is, she was hand-picked to personally serve and protect Parvos Granum, founder of Corpus. One of the main reasons for this is her mastery of time control, how can you be safer than with someone who wields a literal do-over button? Prime only adds to this powerful kit with increased energy, armour, an additional Poarity mod slot, and a rare Universal Aura slot.

The trailer shows just what Protea Prime is made of, starting with the Granade Fan which, as you expect, launches a few explosives out. It isn't necessarily clever, but a good explosion is always appreciated. Protea also packs the Dispensary skills which can dish out healing and ammo picks, so she is a walking armoury in every sense of the word.

Putting aside the time control, for now, the Blaze Artillery skill gets major points for style. This deploys some floating weaponry which fires plasma charges at whoever they see. Perfect for additional fire superiority, or if you want to hide while they kill things for you. With the Okina Prime dagger and Velox Prime pistol also available now, however, you'll be dealing enough damage on your own.

Finally, of course, is the much-touted time controlling. Temporal Anchor drops the eponymous object which starts a clock. After the countdown ends, Protea is rewound back to this spot, causes an implosion, and everything lost or expended in that time returns. It also revives you if you get carried away and die during this window, which is incredibly handy.
