It has been almost a year since the Official Teaser Trailer for DC: Dark Legion dropped, and quite frankly I had forgotten it was a thing. Now, however, FunPlus is pushing their upcoming strategy game back into the limelight, with a new teaser trailer, and it looks quite enticing, to say the least.

At this point, it is fairly obvious that The Batman Who Laughs is going to be the main villain of the story, and for good reason. If you haven’t seen much of this character, I heartily recommend you do, at least his origin. It is a character with the intellect and resources of Batman and the insanity of the Joker. It’s going to be a tough battle.

Unfortunately, things keep getting worse, as he will be joined by his Dark Knights, in a sort of Dark Legion if you would, fancy that. Effectively you will be battling against an army of Bruce Wayne from different universes, complete with some of DCs most popular powers. Sounds hopeless, but it often does in the comic universes.

Enter you, who has been imbued with power by the last Monitor, a race of omnipotent aliens charged with protecting the multiverse. And by the sounds of it, one that the Dark Knights have decimated by the use of the word “last”, so they won’t be much help. Instead, you will have to construct a team of DC’s iconic heroes and villains.

Recruit iconic members of the Justice League including Superman, Wonder Woman, and regular, slightly more sane Batman. It’s also the villain's universe that is in peril, so the likes of Black Adam, Lex Luthor, and the man who started it all, The Joker, will be up for grabs. Assemble an A-list roster of the best DC has to offer, and try to stem the tide of ultimate darkness.

Something that is very nice is the ability to create and upgrade your own Batcave, home to some of the fanciest tech in the world. From what we can see in the trailer, the Batcave is most likely the setting of Dark Legion's base management mechanics. Here you can use resources to upgrade your new home to prepare for war and save Prime Earth.
