It feels like it has been a very long time coming, especially for impatient excitable fools like yours truly, but finally, the next big update has hit Warframe. Jade Shadows is here, bringing with it a bumper crop of story content to ninja through, and, of course, the arrival of the 57th Warframe.

First off, possibly the most exciting part of the update is the new Warframe, Jade. She comes equipped with three new weapons; the Evensong bow, Cantare Throwing Knives, and Harmony Scythe. She is also packing quite an appealing skillset, able to buff damage and shield regen, heal, and debuff foes. Top that with an ultimate to obliterate your foes, and you are going to want a Jade on your every team.

Jade Shadows will be taking fans on a deep dive into the past of the mystery Stalker, revealing key details from this enigma backstory. If you manage to get tickets to TenoCon you can meet the voice behind the man, Gianni Matragrano, and possibly learn even more secrets. Unlikely, but we can dream.

Throughout this update, you will become acquainted with the new Ascension mission type. Starting deep in Corpus-infested territory with nowhere to go but up, you will need to escape an onslaught of enemies as you ascend, get it, through elevator shafts. If you fancy recruiting Jade you will need to spam these as they reward her components. For some more new items, take on the new Clan Operation, Belly of the Beast, and complete community objectives to unlock the new Ephemera aura.

Speaking of shining, there are also some new cosmetics being unveiled here, including a ship skin themed after the Stalker. You can also nab a deluxe Warframe Yareli skin, as well as a host of new TennoGen additions including the Lavos skin and Equinox Omni helmet. Outside of fashion, you can also enjoy some quality-of-life updates, including things like Nacramech acquisition and high-level enemy stat scaling.
