I have played a lot of card games in my life; from Texas Hold’em to Magic the Gathering, but my favourite will always be Munchkin. It is delightfully simple yet incredibly good fun, and now players of the mobile version, Munchkin Digital, can enjoy a new host of chaotic cards thanks to the Clerical Errors expansion.

You will have access to 112 extra cards of fiendish fun, from more manic monsters to battle and lovely loot to covet. You could become a Gnome if you aren't afraid of not being able to reach the top shelf, protect yourself with the always-effective Chainmail Bikini, and test your mettle against the fearsome Gothyanki.

The Bard in particular is a fantastic new class, having the opportunity to force a rival to assist you in combat for zero reward. You can also draw an extra treasure upon winning combat and pick the one you want to keep. The whole set is worth the price based just on this one card alone.

It is not just new cards you can play with, as there are seven new challenges for you to try to overcome. The Bardic Shuffle with test your luck instead of your skill, or you can push it further with the Munchkin Roulette. Those desperate for treasure can always try to get rich with the Loot Goblin, but the price of failure is high.

If you are a loot goblin though, beware the Mimic Infestation, perhaps the single worst invention ever in gaming, and I am including escort quests in that. The Illusion of Choice does what it says on the tin, or you can drag yourself to enlightenment with Clergy Conundrum. Finally, kick back and relax with the Perfectly Balanced Encounter Design, which totally isn't a red herring of course.

Munchkin Digital can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play for $9.99, with the Clerical Errors expansion costing $4.99.
