Despite being around since the dawn of time, Jagex is still finding new things to add to their legendary MMORPG Runescape, and even more impressive it never seems to be content just for the sake of content. This time around we will be able to experience the first-ever Boss Dungeon; the Sanctum of Rebirth.
Set deep in the Underworld, the Sanctum of Rebirth was abandoned for a long time, until one day it was claimed by the goddess of destruction herself. Amascut the Destroyer is back and has taken over the halls with her followers, and has left a few formidable foes to deal with anyone foolish enough to enter.
Inside, you will come face to face with three deadly soul devourers; Vermyx, Kezalam, and Nakara. Each of these packs a host of tricky attacks to navigate, and if you check out the trailer you will see there will be a lot of dancing needed to ensure you don't wind up a popsicle. Boss Dungeons also do away with enemy mobs, so you can get straight into the thick of it with just these three to contend with.
You can tackle these bosses solo, if you are feeling confirmed, or as a group of up to four payers, with rewards being scaled to the party size. This gauntlet of devourers can be taken on in either Normal or Hard mode, making the battles quite the experience for novices and veterans alike.
By taking down these soul devourers you will rack up some rare reward drops, including the new Divine Rage Prayer, The Scripture of Amascut God Book, and Tier 95 Magic Weapons. Should you manage to defeat all three, you will earn an additional drop from the dungeon's prize pool, containing even more high-value rewards.
Runescape can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play now.
