Every time a game celebrates an anniversary I feel more and more that time is an illusion because there is no way that Arena Breakout is already turning one. To celebrate this supposed first birthday, MoreFun Studios is hosting the Road to Gold Anniversary Season update, and there are some nifty things on offer.

The war rages on and has spilled into a new area; the Mine. It is a big map, with every corner having the potential of tricks or treats. There will be a bunch of gold to grab, however, so to hell with the risk. To help you travel this massive area faster, Arena Breakout now has vehicles to hop on and speed around with.

In this update, you will come face-to-face with Hecate, a boss whose namesake is the Greek goddess of magic, so you know she’s going to be tough. Hecate heads the mysterious Abyss group and stands against Ajax as their most difficult foe. Head to the Farm and see if you can’t take her down.

If you feel like taking on people instead of computers then the Team Elimination mode might be more your speed. This is a fast-paced 4v4 mode that takes place on special Garm, Northridge, Armory, and TV Station maps. They are set across a best-of-7 format, so there is a lot of action to be had.

Now, taking on all these new threats might sound daunting, but don’t worry too much as you can get your hands on one of the most dangerous weapons known to man; a shovel. Specifically, a Sapper Shovel, which is a neat bit of army kit. Simply complete in-game anniversary missions and you will be able to add this to your armory.
