August 14th will see the arrival of Version 1.1 for HoYoverse's urban ARPG Zenles Zone Zero. This expansion will bring powerful characters to recruit, an interesting story of crime and justice, and a whole new gameplay mode to get stuck into.
The Mountain Lion Gang is causing trouble, and it is down to Zhu Yuan, Qingyi, and Seth to work together and put a stop to it. Every time the gang is close to being busted though, the mysterious Jane bails them out. By advancing in the Special Episode Undercover R&B, you can take on the visage of Jane, complete quests, and uncover her past.
To help tackle this dastardly group you can recruit four new fighters. Qingyi is an S-Rank with a kit packed with Stun to slow to disrupt foes, or you can recruit the enigmatic Jane, another S-Rank who is capable of unleashing rapid, multi-stage attacks to overwhelm her targets. Before you recruit her though, you will need to beat her in battle.
If you are lacking in defense, the A-Rank Seth is capable of buffing his allies with a shield, as well as whipping out a massive sword to bonk his enemies. Finally, you can pick up a new S-Rank Bangoo, Officer Cui, to take into the Hollows.
Version 1.1 will bring a themed event, Camellia Golden Week, with some excellent rewards up for grabs. Finish the event commissions and you can grab some Polychromes, A-level W-engine, and a variety of materials.
An interesting headline is the introduction of Inferno Reap to Hollow Zero in addition to the Shiyu Defense updates. After you complete the Withering Garden stage and clear the related commissions, you can jump into a time-limited battle. There are unlimited retries, and clearing it will net some decent rewards.
There are also a host of new in-game events to tackle, and some exciting features being added. These include an Immersive Tactical Drill, First-Class Customer Service, and an upgraded camera function. You will be able to take selfies and apply filters, so you can live out your ZZZ shutterbug dreams.
