They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and by god, I have not seen a bigger case of this recently than Dreamcubes’ Miraibo GO. It draws heavily from Palworld - the Pokemon with guns clone - and even lifts half of its name directly from Niantic's AR title. The inspiration is blatant, but it's clearly what the people want.

It is getting harder and harder for IP to be truly original with the dearth of options already out there, but this one just makes me laugh. That’s not to say Miraibo GO doesn’t have appeal, however. Dramcube has recently revealed that their upcoming mobile game has sped past 200,000 pre-registrations, unlocking its first milestone reward.

Thanks to this, everyone who signs up for Miraibo will be striking out into the world, which I can only assume is called Kohto or Janto, with the Basic Survival Pack. This contains ten Meat and ten Eggs, a hearty breakfast. 400,000 signees will unlock the Basic Resouce Gift Pack and 700,000 will bring the very handy Basic Capture Gift Pack.

The biggest prize sits at 1,000,000 pre-registration; the Special Avatar Frame and 3-Day VIP Experience Pack. It is worth noting that all of these prizes will only be available to those who join the game within 180 days of launch. If you want more goodies, you can take part in the invitation event. Get ten friends to sign up before October 9th and you will grab yourself prizes such as three Bronze Keys and a fancy Avatar Frame.

As much as I may mock it, Miraibo GO does sound pretty cool. You can tame monsters to fight alongside you, then build bases and put them to work on different tasks such as farming and production. Make a big enough friend and you can ride them into battle too. Speaking of friends, you can play with up to 23 friends and explore the wilderness together, right up until you decide to turn on them and steal all their stuff. You never saw Ash and Pikachu doing that.
