I find it a bit of a double-edged sword when developers give their updates cool-sounding names - yes it is intriguing, but you also have to live up to it. HoyYoverse then has given their fledgling ARPG Zenless Zone Zeros’ Version 1.2 a lot to live up to when it launches on September 25th, giving it the rather grand title of Tour de Inferno.

In this update, you will make your way to the Outer Ring, an undeveloped and barren area set to be the main area of this chapter. Whilst not looking like much, it is swimming in fuel resources which leads to clashes between rival groups. It's one such battle you shall be wading into, working with the Sons of Calydon as they face off against rivals The Vanquishers and Overlord Pompey.

If you are looking for a nice little diversion, head over to Goldfinger. Here you will find the roguelike time-limited survival shooter, Bizarre Brigade. You can play through this and unlock different characters to use in a variety of challenges. This will let you level up Agents, try out a host of characters, and get rewards from the new Investigator Training Course at HIA.

As is near-customary in Hoyo updates, we are also welcoming two new characters, starting with the leader of the Sons of Calydon, Caesar. She is an S-Rank Physical Defence Agent who can use her shield to both buff allies and thwack enemies in the dome for massive damage. They can also debuff enemies once Perfect Block or Defensive Assist is triggered, a nice all-round package.

Following Caesar from the Sons of Calydon is the S-Rank Bangoo Red Moccus, complete with their customized motorbike. The second new character is the S-Rank Fire Anomaly Agent Burnice, who is packing two flamethrowers. This pretty much sums them up, they set enemies on fire, inflict Burn, and accumulate Anomaly Buildup at a startling rate.
