There are quite a few driving series kicking around nowadays, and out of them all, GRID is one that doesn’t really grab the spotlight constantly. Codemasters put out solid titles that are overlooked, but maybe they will have luck on mobile devices, as GRID Legends: Deluxe Edition is now available to pre-order.

Legends is the next in the series to hit mobile storefronts after GRID Autosport, which itself garnered some stellar reviews. Legends will bring with it the varied terrains and changing weather, all set to the hallmark GRID mix of arcade action and simulation handling.

You will be able to step into a variety of vehicles in a multitude of modes. Head to the live-action story mode, Driven to Glory, for an intense dive into the GRID World Series full of fierce rivalries and thrilling duels. Or, strike out and make your own story with the in-depth Career Mode. People wanting to just have some good old-fashioned fun can also jump into the Race Creator mode to call all the shots.

GRID Legends will come packed with a surprising amount of ways to enjoy the experience. Touch controls will be there for the mobile purists, and controller support will also be offered. Should you really want to get into things though, you could take on the track with tilt controls. Finally, all the instinctive leans we all do with driving games will come in handy.

The only downside with tilt controls is at one point I would have to spin my phone 360 degrees to see what happens and no doubt ruin the race. All part of the fun no doubt, and speaking of, the Deluxe Edition will offer a lot of this, thanks to coming complete with all the DLC available on the desktop and console releases.

GRID Legends: Deluxe Edition is available to pre-order on the App Store and Google Play ahead of a December release, for the rather quite reasonable price of $14.99.
