In a time when the majority of superhero games are getting royally roasted - Gotham Knights, Marvel's Avengers, and Suicide Squad immediately jump to mind - it is nice to see one doing well. I of course refer to Marvel Rivals, the hero shooter that came in and immediately shook up the established players, and soon mobile gamers could get in on the fun. In a way.

No, we are not hoarding any secret news of a mobile port prepared to pounce out of the gates. Instead, the developers have announced collaborations with three mobile titles. Marvel Snap, Marvel Puzzle Quest, and Marvel Future Fight have all gotten the nod, with content scheduled to drop on January 3rd.

Personally, I am most happy that Future Fight is getting some love. Out of Marvel's mobile market, that is most definitely my favourite, followed by Strike Force which sadly didn’t make the cut. You can’t be wrong with any of them to be fair, and it will be interesting to see how this unfolds.

I say that because, bad news time, we don't currently have any concrete leads on what this collaboration will look like. My vote is that it will somehow be cosmetic; how can they really do collaborative characters when they are all Marvel? It would be funny if they tried to claim that, for at least five seconds before it got annoying.

If you haven’t heard of the three mobile titles, let’s do a breakneck tour. Marvel Snap is a digital card game with an interesting twist in that there are effectively three boards in play at once, try it out on the App Store and Google Play. Marvel Puzzle Quest is your match-3 affair with a superhero coat, check that out on Android and Apple devices. Finally, but not least at all, is Marvel Future Fight, an action RPG with a team of three heroes. Guess where you can find it? That’s right, iOS and Android.
