I am no history or war buff but I do know one thing; even with all the evolutions of land and air combat, naval warfare is still vital. Lilith Games recognises this, with the introduction of a major Navy update to Warpath, alongside a brand-new Naval Force system.
Nearly 100 replica ships from World War Two to modern times have been recreated, including the Nimitz-Class Aircraft Carrier, Arleigh Burke-Class Destroyer, and Project 971 Class Submarines. They are split into six categories; Submarines, Aircraft Carriers, Guided Missile Destroyers, Anti-Submarine Frigates, Armored Destroyers, and Anti-Aircraft Destroyers.
Each of these types has been balanced with its own strengths and weaknesses. Submarines can hide underwater to ambush foes, but the Anti-Submarine Frigates will live up to their names with strong detection and speed. Ships can attack on the move, with simplified controls lowering the risk of mistakes. Battles will now focus more on strategy and tactics, instead of who fat-fingers first.
If sailing the high seas is enough to bring any errant players back into the fold then Warpath has you covered. Until January 19th returners can get over $50.00 of in-game items through the Operation Regroup event. You can also take advantage of the Tide of Honor sign-in event, offering a Navy Officer and upgrade resources to kickstart your Naval Force.
For more returning prizes, January will play host to the Return to Glory and Prime Buff Events. These will grant you an abundance of resources, as well as some strong passive effects to get you into fighting shape quickly. For those who want to start over, making a new character on a different server will grant you 50% of any Gold and VIP Points from purchases made on your account.
Warpath is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
