Play Together celebrates the Year of the Snake with rampaging rice monsters

The Lunar New Year approaches, and we are entering the Year of the Snake. I unfortunately don’t know what that means in a wider context although I would love to learn, but I do know that Haegin is celebrating with the Full Moon Rice Cake Workshop in Play Together.

The workshop can be found over in the Plaza, but in true Kaia Island fashion, it’s gone a bit wrong. Well, a lot is wrong, the rice cakes have turned into monsters and have destroyed the workshop. That is where you come in.

You are tasked with rebuilding the workshop, and, as thanks for doing so, will be buried in goodies. The Rice Cake Worshop Top Apprentice Hanbox, Rice Cake Workshop Petal Cheopji Acesory, and Rice Cake Workshop Top Apprentice Hair Bun are just a few of the rewards on offer.

Next up is hunting down these Rice Cake Monsters, which rather horrifyingly is done using the Pickaxe. Like a New Year Miner-based slasher flick. Anyway, channel your inner Jason and find them in the Plaza, Downtown Korea Travel Center, and rather aptly for this Friday the 13th metaphor, the Camping Ground.

After chasing these beasties down you will receive Rice Cake Dough, and you can trade this for items like Gems, the 5-Star Card Pack, and the Soft and Chewy Name Tag. Given that you have just beaten monsters down into dough, I don’t want to consider that name tag too deeply.

Also, between January 30th and February 5th, the Locating the Missing Rice Cake Dough event will open for players who have gathered Rice Cake Dough, offering more rewards including a VVIP Card Pack.

For those tired of chasing runaway rice, you can get some passive rewards through the attendance event. Log in for a total of seven days and you will rack up rewards like the Tteokguk Hairband and the Sebae motion. You can also take part in a coupon event from the official community, for a final set of prizes including Lucky Gem Boxes and a Lizard Gem.

Play Together is available from the App Store and Google Play.
