Our last outing with the Trailblazer in Honkai: Star Rail saw the Nikador Coreflame successfully retrieved, but that’s only half the job done. Version 3.1 Light Slips the Fate, Shadow Greets the Throne, is coming February 26th, sees the Flame-Chase Journey continue, and time is not on our side.

Heading into the Grove of Epiphany, a city central to research on the black tide and Titans, the Trailblazer is taking on the mantle of a messenger. However, they are greeted with a battlefield under assault from the black tide and will need to help with the rescue efforts and reclaim Cerces’ Coreflame to accomplish their mission of saving Okhema.

In terms of firepower, our new fighter for this update is Tribios, the Holy Maiden of Janusopolis and the first demigod of Amphoreus, an impressive collection of titles. This 5-star Quantum character is on the Path of Harmony and can deploy a zone that allows her to deal Additional DMG whenever an enemy is attacked. One for fans of the follow-up game.

Our follow-up fighter showing up on March 19th is the 5-star Mydei, the crown prince of Castrum Kremnos. This 5-star Imaginary character is on the Path of Destruction, which means one thing; smashy-smashy. Unfortunately, he powers this onslaught of smashdom by consuming his HP, entering an enhanced form. This makes him deal massive AoE damage on his turn.

If being a hero is growing tiresome, then you can drop your responsibilities and take on the newest season of Divergent Universe. Battles will take place under the Day and Night System, with combat flipping between the two. Each state has its own boosts, whilst transitions cause extra effects. Mastering these will be vital to victory.

Or, if you want to step into a support role, sign up for The Awooo Firm. This event sees you manage the chimera squad in Okhema, providing them with the steady guidance needed to achieve their goals and become a squad to be feared. Also, The Awooo Firm lineup is all adorable tiny cat-like creatures, so you know, who cares if a city-state is destroyed? Ignore the story, Chimera Squad all the way.

Honkai: Star Rail is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
