It is the end of an era as mobile users can now download the two last free updates for famed roguevania, Dead Cells. Of course, if you play Dead Cells anywhere near the way I do, these two packs will keep you fed for months at least, what with all the doom.

Pitiful playstyles aside, these two packs are called Clean Cut and The End is Near. They are available for all versions on mobile; App Store, Google Play, Netflix and Play Pass. Both come packed with a combination of weapons, skills, enemies and that most important of gear; a few new heads.

Let’s start with Clean Cut because the weapons make me laugh. The first is the Sewing Scissors, which is sadly a Survival Weapon, something I was never a fan of. These giant scissors will instantly kill all enemies they touch, provided one of them dies from the weapon's standard damage. You also have a Giant Comb, a Brutality Weapon that fires enemies upwards.

You can also meet the Tailor’s Daughter, located conveniently in the Tailor’s Room. This NPC can change the look of your head, which is not a service my tailor offers but sure. If you want a challenge, Speedrun Mode is added to track the completion of each biome. Or, take on the Boss Rush DIY, letting you pick the bosses you wish to face.

The End is Near also has two, less comical, weapons to try. The Misericorde can crit mods under 50% health but will Curse you if you don’t kill them, whilst the Anathema fires a curved projectile that explodes on contact. However, you are Cursed if you hit anything with it. You can offset this with the Indulgence skills, which fires a ray of light that clears three stacks of Curse on a kill.

You can tackle three new enemies in the Sore Loser, Curser, and Doom Bringer, or enjoy three mutations with Cursed Flask, Damned Vigor, and Demonic Strength. A lot of cursing going on. Finally, you can cap off your Dead Cells experience with a selection of 40 new heads. To replace those you lost on our countless doomed runs. I will miss you Dead Cells.
