Fahrenheit Remastered is out now on iOS and an Android version is in the works

There has been a fair bit of hype surrounding Fahrenheit this week due to it kind of just re-appearing out of nowhere. The folks responsible for porting Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Aspyr Media, have once again used their expertise to bring an aging game to the world of touch. The iOS version is out right now and an Android version is expected to arrive later this year. Check out the trailer below, and if you want it for yourself head on over to the App Store via the link below. [App Store link]…

Hands-on with Star Wars: Galactic Defense, the Jedi-themed tower defence game

If you're still a fan of the TD genre, and you're a big fan of the Star Wars universe, then you might well be interested to know that Star Wars: Galactic Defense is a pretty decent stab at the genre, and adds a bit of Lucas into a well-established formula. As you'll see in my hands-on with the game below, I'm not super enthusiastic about Star Wars: Galactic Defense, simply because it doesn't change things up all that much, but if you're after a solid tower defence, you could do much worse. The game's out now for free on iOS and Android. [App Store link][Google Play link][Amazon Store link]…

Darth Vader-flavoured tower defence game Star Wars: Galactic Defense is out right now on iOS and Android

We've been covering Star Wars: Galactic Defense for a while now, bringing you both the first and second parts of the dev diaries DeNA has put together. From what we've seen, it looks like a pretty decent attempt at the genre, filled with tower types, a big cast of recognisable characters, and lots of enemy types to defeat. The game has finally landed on iPhones, iPads, and Android devices everywhere, and there's a shiny new trailer to accompany it too. Fancy yourself a bit of a Jedi when it comes to TD games? You can download Star Wars: Galactic Defense via any of the links below. [App Store link][Google Play link][Amazon Store link]…

Second Star Wars: Galactic Defense developer diary reveals more game features

DeNA Games has popped over the latest developer diary video for its new tower defence game - Star Wars: Galactic Defense. If you missed it, you can catch up on part 1 here, but this new video focuses on covering some of the gameplay elements. Tower types, special abilities, customisation, and hints at some of the 90 different units you'll face are all shown, plus there's a bit where the nice man tells us that "characters are one of the most important elements in the game". Fantastic! Star Wars: Galactic Defense will be available as a free-to-play title shortly, on both iOS and Android.…

I won't Force you to watch this Star Wars: Galactic Defense developer diary, but you probably should

I won't Force you to watch this Star Wars: Galactic Defense developer diary, but you probably should

DeNA, Disney, and Lucasfilm have teamed up and are producing a tower defence game called Star Wars: Galactic Defense. Excited? Yeah... The jury's obviously still out on whether it's going to be any more than a standard TD game with Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader slapped all over it, but we've got our fingers crossed. The dev diary below features awkward smiles by the executive producer, a sequence in which a man speaking English is subtitled in English, but most importantly it has gameplay footage for you to look at and say "ooooh that looks quite nice".…

Star Wars: Assault Team Review

Star Wars: Assault Team Review

We don't mind admitting that we were excited as we started playing the free-to-play Star Wars: Team Assault. It wasn't the Star Wars fanfare that set our nostalgia glands tingling. That lost its potency long ago. Nope, it was the scenario that got our sabres flaring. Starting just after the original film, you take control of Han Solo as he attempts to infiltrate the Empire. With Han, Chewie, and R2-D2 in your squad, you'd be forgive for thinking the story might evolve into something s…

Collect 1,000 coins in the Angry Birds Star Wars II Galactic Giveaway

Angry Birds Star Wars II has just received the new Galactic Giveaway update, scattering 1,000 coins of in-game currency throughout the game. The coins have been hidden throughout Angry Birds Star Wars II’s existing levels, so you're going to have to revisit stages if you want to find all 1,000. Once collected, the coins can be used to permanently unlock more of the game's cast from the store. The inclusion of a collectable currency actually solves one of the few complaints we had about Angry Birds Star Wars II, when we reviewed it last year, by easing its reliance on in-app purchases. This Galactic Giveaway is not limited to coins, however. Carbonite Rewards add another w…
