Bomb On Bus! looks to cater to those gamers who have a need for Speed
Over Easy Games' debut effort is Bomb On Bus!, it's out right now on Android, and it's coming soon to iOS. The set up is this: you're on a bus, there's a bomb on-board, and it'll detonate if you drop below a specific speed. Sound familiar? Probably should do to fans of cheesy action movies starring Keanu Reeves. Over Easy Games' pedigree is pretty strong, the developer having worked on the iOS versions of Call Of Duty: Black Ops Zombies as well as Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, so this auto-driver should very well be worth a look. Get it on Android now, for free. [Google Play link]…
Gamebanjo is a huge collection of free games from Nordcurrent which is out right flipping now
Here is just part of the ludicrously long list of things you can do in Nordcurrent's latest release, Gamebanjo; Shoot aliens.Coast on a wave.Smash blocks.Match three.Play Sudoku.Pop bubbles.Use towers to defend bases.Shoot even more aliens.Build a super sweet city.Be a racing car driver. That's a lot of stuff to be getting on with, I reckon. Gamebanjo is a free-to-play compilation of primarily arcade-oriented 2D games, and it looks just spiffing. Originally released on iOS in March, after a million people downloaded it the collection has now made its way to Android too. Though you can do all sorts in the game, the one thing that remains constant, rather neatly, is how progression works:…
Surviving in Minecraft: Pocket Edition, Episode 10 - Off Adventuring
Perhaps it's a foolish desire, but for a few episodes now I've wanted to explore the wilder areas of the land I'm inhabiting. I want to feel the wind through my hair, see the horizon stretch out before me, plot a point and just head for it and see what happens. Armed to the teeth, I set out in this episode to do exactly that. How does it turn out? How do you think? Also: darkness! If you somehow missed a previous episode you can catch up via our Playlist on YouTube.…

Mecha Monsters are battling robots that you control with your phone and I want one oh goodness me I want one so bad
Bristol-based Reach Robotics are making these ridiculously cool remote controlled robots you command by using your smartphone. Or at least they will be if enough people are interested in their upcoming crowdfunding campaign. You fight Mecha Monsters against one another in real life, and as they battle you gain experience that allows access to special moves and unlockable items. If you're of a tinkering mind, you can also program custom motions by using some included software. Mecha Monsters look super cool. For more details check out the official website.…
Dungeon Hunter 4 gets Descending Depths update, brings 3 new dungeons, new bosses, ridiculous new armour
If you've exhausted all the content in Dungeon Hunter 4 then I've got some good news for you: the Descending Depths update brings with it a load more quests to complete, and enemies to defeat. Howling Canyon, The Dig Site, and Chapel of Whispers are the names of the new dungeons, featuring new bosses Crow and Bone Golem. On top of this, there's a new event type called Burdens to take on. And if that weren't enough, the trailer of the latest update for Gameloft's dungeon crawler also shows off the ludicrously awesome looking Gold Armour. The update is now live on iOS and Android. If you're yet to play Dungeon Hunter 4 you can grab it via the links below. [App Store link][Google Play lin…
The Hunger Games: Panem Rising is the official mobile game of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, and this is what it looks like
Mockingjays unite: there's a new game out for your mobile and / or tablet based on the new The Hunger Games flick. The Hunger Games: Panem Rising is being described as a "role-playing card mobile game" so, without wanting to be too reductive, think Rage of Bahamut, rather than Hearthstone. There appears to be a bit more story than your usual card battler included in here though, as you'll follow Katniss Everdeen as she fights against the Capitol, exploring the various poverty-stricken districts, and recruiting from hundreds of characters from the series. You'll also be able to nab all sorts of items to aid your quest, and upgrade the stats of your carefully organised team. The game is…
9 amazing things you can do in Strung Along
In Strung Along you control a puppet on strings, trying to get them through increasingly challenging levels of obstacles and whatnot. Since it's heavily governed by its (usually robust) physics engine, it's allowed from some pretty awesome things to be done by its players. Many of these things have been captured by eagle-eyed peeps on Everyplay, and I've collected them all together into one convenient little list. So then, in Strung Along you can... Swing! Jump! Do a forward flip! Dance to EDM! Risk a groin injury! Walk on thin air! Not finish your sentences! Breakdance as if possessed by a demon! And make it to the final level! Think you can do better? Grab the…
Hands-on with Day of the Viking, where a princess asks you to squish invaders using giant boulders
Day of the Viking's princess is not your typical damsel in distress. She's a mean, cunning, and I think slightly cruel leader of a group of forces that are Hell-bent on driving off a Viking invasion. Protecting her is a group of fearless warriors, utilising bows and arrows, as well as boulders, to turn back their aggressors. It's a silly and fun physics action puzzler, and one I rather enjoyed. Here's how I got on...…
Hands-on with Soccer Runner, the footie-focused endless runner featuring... Mr. Miyagi...?
So yes, Soccer Runner has a slightly odd cameo in it. But aside from the inclusion of Kesuke Miyagi, and the football theme to proceedings, Soccer Runner is a fairly by-the-numbers auto-runner. You swipe to avoid obstacles by dodging or jumping or sliding, and there are special boosts to grab along the way that will aid you with your quest for a highscore. That said, there's a cool addition whereby you can kick the ball to break some obstacles, and the QTE sequences at the end of stages are nifty too. Here are my first thoughts on the game, captured in video form.…
Hands-on with Super Secret Service, where you must save the President from rogue paper airplanes attacks
What would you do if the President was in (apparently mortal) danger from being struck by a paper airplane? Would you step up and get in the line of fire? What if, instead of a paper airplane, the projectile were a tomato? What then, hero? Test your mettle with Super Secret Service, a brand new endless action game by Austin Ivansmith. Fancy giving my highscore a run for its money? Download the game on the links below. [App Store link] [Google Play link] [Amazon Store link]…
Hands-on with Bitcoin Billionaire, where earning fake Internet money and getting rich quick has never been easier
Bitcoin Billionaire is a pastiche of Bitcoins and the clicker genre of games, by being a clicker game that is about Bitcoins. It's got a wry sense of humour, a wonderful aesthetic, and a moreish upgrade path that, once you're on, is difficult to get off of. I got a little time in with the game, click play on the video below to see how I got on. Oh and for those wondering: no, Bitcoin Billionaire doesn't actually generate Bitcoins for you. Pity.…
Hands-on with Contract Killer: Sniper, the brand new sniping game from Glu
Glu Mobile has a new sniping game out, and it's got the Contract Killer name attached to it. From my quick hands-on with the game, it appears to be business as usual for the now very well-established shooter franchise from Glu. You enter an area, shoot all the bad guys, perhaps complete a special objective, and when you win you upgrade a selection of powerful weaponry to allow you access to the next stage. I've had a decent time with Contract Killer: Sniper so far, here are my first impressions.…
Will you risk watching this new video for Earthcore: Shattered Elements?
There's a new card duellling game in the works, and it's looking very intrguing indeed. Earthcore: Shattered Elements features a gameplay system the developer is calling Risk, which at its most fundamental level means that the bigger and more powerful creatures you wield in battle, the more chance you have of both winning and losing. It's a curious concept, and it's explained in more details in the trailer below. Earthcore: Shattered Elements is from Tequila Games, and is scheduled to be released on iPhone and iPad in Q1 of 2015.…
