Super early footage of Lynn and the Spirits of Inao shows off the Studio Ghibli-esque presentation and Metroidvania gameplay
French outfit Bloomylight Studio has announced Lynn and the Spirits of Inao, a game which they're hoping will be a perfect combination of Princess Mononoke and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Now that is a very tall order. But from the alpha footage we've seen (which you can see below), it appears the team is on the right track. A gorgeous anime-influenced aesthetic, lots of fast action, puzzle and exploration elements, and that soundtrack... oh man... that soundtrack is giving me goosebumps already. Chop Block is a free-to-play game and will be available on iOS and Android from October 9th.…
Update to ninja platformer Shadow Blade adds new Downtown chapter
Crescent Moon’s game Shadow Blade has just received a new update, adding a host of improvements - and a new chapter - to the stealth platformer. The new Downtown area will take the game's ninja protagonist into the city, opening up 12 missions to slice and dice your way though. Here, you will encounter the new Punk Mob enemy, a hardended thug in dire need of a good cleaving. Three new game soundtracks have also been added, letting you dispense shadowy justice to fresh jams. Meanwhile, video replay and sharing options will let you show off your shinobi skills, while the new Par Time display will show you the time you need to beat for each level. Add to this a host of bug fixes and…
