Hands-on with Angry Birds Transformers, the Autobot auto-runner with physics-based mayhem
Currently in soft-launch in New Zealand, Angry Birds Transformers is a side-scrolling auto-runner crossed with the physics-y destruction of a traditional Angry Birds game. It's a curious mix, and from the time I've spent with the game so far, a highly enjoyable one. And as you might expect from Rovio, almost the entire production is super slick. From the smooth framerate, to the kick-ass soundtrack, to incidental details (the pause menu is just brilliant): there's a feeling of quality throughout. Here's our early look.…
Brand new Angry Birds Transformers trailer reveals gameplay, confirms release date
After the ridiculously awesome 80s cartoon trailer released a few weeks back, I didn't think another Angry Birds Transformers video would ever get me quite as hyped again. I thought wrong. Minutes ago Rovio released its gameplay trailer for Angry Birds Transformers, and any potential fears that it might be a boring re-hash of old ideas have transformed and rolled right out the window. The game is scheduled to be released on iOS on October 15th, and on Google Play October 30th. I. Am. Excited.…
This Angry Birds Transformers trailer is so amazingly 80s that it should be wearing jelly shoes

If you're too young to remember cartoons created solely for the purpose of marketing toys, or the "unique" properties of VHS, or the pomp of eighties hair metal, then the above may be a little lost on you. But to those of us staring down the barrel of a rapidly approaching 30s, the trailer for Angry Birds Transformers is pretty muc…
Angry Birds Transformers trailer demonstrates why Rovio's new game will make me homeless
If you're lucky enough to be attending San Diego Comic-Con then you might have already seen the new trailer for Angry Birds Transformers. If you're stuck at home, at school, or even worse, at work, then never fear, because you can see the new video here. The video shows off a CGI render of various Angry Birds as Transformers, running through the environment and battling piggy enemies. Astrotrain, Optimus Prime, and Megatron all make an appearance, and they seem to be fighting on the same side too, which is neat. What's not so neat is that this new trailer also shows off the new TelePods, which you'll be able to scan and subsequently bring new characters into your game. Since I'm a gigan…
