OTTTD was never short on challenge, but this update bolsters the toughness with a new endless mode. Touch Dimensions has just given its wonderful RTS Autumn Dynasty Warlords a substantial free update. Titled Insurrection, the update adds a huge amount of content. If you were absorbed by the game’s feudal storyline, the new 'Against All Odds' scenario offers you the perfect excuse to jump back into the campaign. On the other hand, if it was the RTS battles that kept you enthralled, then the random scenario generator will provide more scuffles to keep you amused. OTTTD (or 'Over The Top Tower Defence') does a pretty good job of living up to its title. Every stage, you are swarmed by bizarre cartoon aliens, and must erect towers to fight them back. Each vanquished foe leaves behind a bloodied corpse, meaning that, within minutes, your base in drenched in an ocean of gore. Overkills abounds in new iOS tower defence game OTTTD
Apparently, OTTTD is an acronym for Over The Top Tower Defence. And, in fairness, the game's overblown explosions and wacky cast of units deliver exactly what it says on the tin. While it may have tower defence in the title, the game actually blends a fair amount of traditional RTS into its melting pot of gameplay. Along with the standard defensive emplacements, OTTTD lets you take command a squad of heroes to take the devastation directly to your foes. Substantial Games has just released the first footage of The Ember Conflict. The real-time multiplayer strategy game is currently in development by the studio, and is set to be released on iPad this Autumn. The Ember Conflict will focus on the multiplayer side of the RTS genre, with players battling it out in one-on-one or two-on-two matches.
