Tap to navigate circles endlessly in Running Circles out now on Android
Running Circles is a one touch multiplayer arcade game in which you have to navigate circles by tapping at precisely the point they meet. You can tap at any point to flip to the outside or inside of a circle. You'll want to do this to avoid enemies and collect diamonds, which you can use to unlock new characters. There's a single player which pits you against your own high scores and a multiplayer mode, which is turn-based and challenges you to travel across more circles than your opponent. You'll do this for a few rounds and their ghost will run alongside you as you compete for the highest score. Running Circles is a challenging game and if you feel you're not up to the task you can p…
League of Angels - Fire Raiders' new Island Raid mode is a real game-changer
The hugely successful Facebook MMORPG League of Angels received the sequel treatment earlier this year when League of Angels - Fire Raiders hit iOS and Android. You'll collect from over a hundred heroes and angels that have each been hand-drawn and have their own special effects when they use their skills in League of Angels - Fire Raiders. Then you'll have to level them up, teach them new skills, upgrade their equipment, and learn how to best combine them to create a powerful team ready to take on their powerful opponents. No one team can conquer everything though. Each opponent has different strengths and weaknesses so you'll have to change your team and strategy to match them. There a…
Hotline: Miami - The best soundtrack in gaming?
Hotline Miami, the super-gory 2D top-down gangsters and guns game that caused games reviewers to trip over their own superlatives when it first arrived on PC a few years back, has been specially re-mastered as a launch title for the NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV. For those that don't remember this glorious retro shooter, the game blends a top-down perspective with stealth and ultraviolent gameplay. It is a notoriously difficult game to master, which doesn’t make it any less entertaining. Just very challenging. It’s also notable for its splendid neon-spattered 8-bit style visuals and a soundtrack that thumps with deep, bass-y dub and crackles with 1980’s influenced electro. D…

The new expansion, the Ascension Update, includes a new level cap of 90 and two further story chapters to help you gain enough experience to climb a whopping five more levels. You'll gain better gear and skills on the way, of course, but there's also a treat…
The beautiful papercraft match-three puzzle adventure Parigami is headed to iOS this 14th of May
Parigami is a beautiful papercraft match-three puzzle adventure headed towards iOS this coming 14th of May. You'll work your way across a papercraft map of the African wilderness, trying to get three stars in each of the match-three levels. Make no mistake - Parigami Is not your everyday tile swapper. Rather than move the individual tiles, you'll move the columns and rows of paper animals themselves. The aim is still to match three animals though, and doing so causes them to explode into confetti. If you can manage to match four or more, it will cause a massive paper bomb explosion and boost your score in the process. Occasionally, you'll come across a minigame tied to one of the six m…

We talk about League of Angels - Fire Raider's art approach with GTArcade
You may already have heard but 2014's Facebook MMORPG sensation, League of Angels, has been given the sequel treatment on mobile by GTArcade. Don't worry, nothing drastic has changed and you'll still be collecting Angels and Heroes, leveling, training, and customising them, and sending them out into battle against the forces of evil. Or against players, if that's where your interests lie, as all of the PvE and PvP modes have made the leap onto the mobile version as well. League of Angels - Fire Raiders did have a pretty extensive visual redesign though, and we talked to David Johansson, Creative Director at GTArcade about the team's inspiration, approach, and favourite characters in the m…

Egg-Shoot is an off-kilter tap 'em up out now on iOS and Android
Egg-Shoot could well be your latest addiction now that you've grown tired of Angry Birds. All you have to do is keep your screen free of cracked egg goo - it sounds simple, and it is, but it's challenging to master. Eggs are constantly shot out of tubes attached to five chickens and you have to tap on them to shoot them out of the sky before they hit the screen. They fly at random times and speeds, though, so your finger has to be at the ready at all times. Successfully shoot five eggs in a row and you progress to the next level but if even one tiny splat of egg hits your screen before then, it's game over. Power ups can help prevent this, like the squeegee, which will give your scree…

Trivia Crack + Apple Watch = even more addiction
You know those irritating moments when you couldn’t play Trivia Crack because you had to put your phone down? Well, those are about to end because Trivia Crack is all set for the Apple Watch. Apple is so impressed by Trivia Crack's chart performance in the App Store that it specifically requested that Etermax bring the quiz app to the Apple Watch as a launch title - how flattering! Trivia Crack’s classy, minimalist design is ideally suited to the Apple Watch, which doesn’t have an abundance of screen space, admittedly. You’ll never have to pull your iPhone out of your pocket to play Trivia Crack again, as the game will be fully playable on any of the three Apple Wa…
