Monster Hunter Now celebrates the 20th anniversary of the storied series
Next month marks two important anniversaries in the gaming calendar; the 20th anniversary of the legendary Monster Hunter series which helped pioneer its genre, as well as the half-anniversary of Monster Hunter Now. To celebrate, the mobile spin-off is hosting a variety of events. To start with, there will, of course, be content to celebrate 20 years of the whole series. Players can knock out some themed Events to get rewards such as the 20th Anniversary Meal, rare Monster materials, some Gatherable materials, and Zenny. These will be available between March 4th and 24th for anyone who has completed the prologue. From March 4th until the 13th, players will be able to hunt Zinorgre with eas…
Live life as a robotic ninja on the go as Warframe comes to mobile
Gaming in general has evolved at an astonishing rate, but it is on mobile where you really see it. As a kid, we had a Nokia brick and Snake, but now you can pull out a small device to enjoy some triple-A action games with zero concerns, and now for Apple users, you can play one of the most frantic of them all; Warframe. If you have not played it, Warframe is a very fluid action game in which players take control of a Tenno, a race of ancient warriors who can slip into a variety of the titular Warframes to whip out fantastical skills, and bounce all over the place like a hyperactive bouncy ball, catapulting off walls as you shoot and smack enemies. It is chaotic fun, and now, you can take th…
Honor of Kings books its place in the Esport World Cup
It is a bloody good time to be reasonably good at mobile games, with companies left, right, and centre seemingly putting up a lot of cash for tournaments, and the latest to open their wallets is Level Infinite, as Honor of Kings heads to the Esport World Cup in Saudi Arabia. Specifically, the Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason will be in attendance, bringing 12 teams together to compete for a prize pool of an absolutely mouth-watering three million dollars, and I quadruple-checked that figure to make sure I read it right. Teams could also book their place in the Championship, where I assume the prize is a solid gold mansion. The roster for this tournament isn't fully fleshed out, howeve…
It’s time to tip off as NBA Infinite launches after months of anticipation
Like all tall people, I have a mandatory affection for the game of basketball, so the long build-up to NBA Infinite finally launching felt like a lifetime. Luckily, it is out now and will allow lovers of the sport to take part in action-packed PvP games with other fans across the globe. Players will be tasked with collecting an unstoppable roster of NBA stars to keep in a variety of modes such as 3v3, the full 5v5, or the intense duels of a 1v1. Each star will have their own unique move sets to master, and an Exclusive and Dominance skill to give you the edge. You will be able to recruit and upgrade current NBA players, but it isn’t just the on-court talent you need to look after, as…
KartRider: Drift receives one hell of a boost thanks to a massive new update
Nexon and Nitro Studio have come out all guns blazing with the latest update for their hit racer KartRider: Drift. Titled RISE, it will bring a collaboration with the legends that are Automobili Lamborghini, which somehow isn’t a run-away headline thanks to some fantastic tweaks made to Speed Mode as well. For a limited time, you can sit behind the wheel of three Lamborhini-styled karts right through until March 13th. The Lamborghini Aventador Ultimate Roadster, Huracán EVO Spyder and Urus Performante are all up for grabs, and it must be said they are some of the best-looking collab vehicles there have been. In some equally intriguing news, Speed Mode has gotten quite the upda…
Team Mago announce release date for upcoming Kingdom: The Blood based on hit eponymous Netflix series
Back in 2019, Netflix worked with a South Korean screenwriter named Kim Eun-hee to produce a series named Kingdom, a mix of drama, political intrigue and zombies. It did quite well as you might expect, and spurred Team Mago and YJM Games to produce a spinoff game for the universe, named Kingdom: The Blood. Scheduled for release on March 5th, Kingdom: The Blood will focus more on the zombies than the drama, placing you in the middle of the hungry horde. Whilst you may be tempted to stay and fight, admiring the Korean-inspired outfits swaying in the wind, sometimes it's better to flee. That's not to say you can’t engage in some slaying, with characters featuring their own unique flowin…

Mark your calendars for February 20th, as Hotta Studio has announced the incoming launch of a new simulacrum for its open-world game Tower of Fantasy. Yanuo will be bringing her skills to your team on February 20th, packing quite the powerful weapon combining Frost and Volt capabilities. Tower of Fantasy is an MMORPG set on the planet of Aida after humanity has to flee Earth and its collapsing environment. Once they land, they also blow this one up in their pursuit of a comet, Mara, that contains a powerful energy named Omnium. It will be up to players to gather a team and do what makes games fun; indiscriminately stabbing enemies. Nicknamed the Perfectionist of District 9, Yanuo is one of…
CRKD announce their latest controller with a simple look but a lot to offer
We all love mobile gaming, but one of the most annoying issues, especially if you have giant hands like yours truly, is those clumsy appendages blocking the screen as you play. So we turn to controllers, which can be cumbersome. This leads us to the NEO S, CRKD's latest minimalist controller, which loses none of the style or mechanics despite its simple looks. The NEO S sports Bluetooth connectivity, High Effect Thumbsticks for drift-free input, adjustable actuation Hall Sensor Triggers, and a set of remappable back buttons for that full customisable set-up. It even allows for full motion control which is unexpected, and a Turbo Mode for when you need to cheese that boss. The style of the…

Embrace the life of a humble root vegetable as Minabo - A walk through life launches on mobile
Have you ever stared up at the night sky, tears in your eyes, and screamed to the gods “Why was I not born a turnip”? Well, someone at DevilishGames did, and they created a rather popular life simulator named Minabo - A walk through life, which you find mobile folk can now download. During its tenure on Steam and consoles, Minabo found itself quite the niche, racking up universal acclaim and earning a respectful number of award nods. It even won a couple of them, recently earning Best Video Hame at the 2023 Berlanda Award, and now it's ready to take the world of mobile gaming by storm. Minabo places you in the shoes of, of all things, a turnip that has just recently sprouted fr…

Reverse 1999 rings in Version 1.3 Phase 2 with a hero who can clean house single handedly
To say that Reverse 1999 has had quite a successful launch might just be an understatement when you look at the numbers. In just four short months, the Bluepoch RPG has racked up an astonishing 19 million downloads worldwide, a fantastic background to roll into Version 1.3's second phase. The headline here is the release of a brand new six-star Arcanist, the Beast Afflatus Shanmane. He sports a normal attack that rips out 200% Reality DMG just as a baseline, which can be increased by his mass debuff that increases DMG taken by all enemies and also decreases their Reality and Mental DEF. This also sets up his ultimate perfectly, a 250% Reality hit to all enemies, plus an additional 250% to t…
Defence Derby whips out the magic brooms as Krafton detail two new magic units
Krafton has released information on the two newest units landing in the PvP tower defense, Defence Derby. Florea is out now and will be followed by Celestial Prayer later this month, and you can also turn your hand to two exciting events happening in February. Florea belongs to the spirit faction and will be bringing so much-appreciated skills to the battlefield. She only packs a one-tile, but her unique ability allows her to heal your castle’s HP, invaluable for the late stages when enemies start ramping up. On the flip side, the skill is called Sacrifice, so as you might guess, you need to blow Florea up for this to happen. Our second new unit is definitely one to watch. Another ma…
