Diablo Immortal's latest gameplay trailer has arrived
The much-hyped Diablo Immortal just received another trailer today during ChinaJoy 2020. It gives us a decent look at the core action, some of the classes on offer, and a bit of the multiplayer. Visually, it's not too bad at all. It's very clearly a Diablo game, and it seems more or less in line with the presentation of Diablo III. I definitely like how fast-paced the combat is, and some of the abilities on show are undoubtedly impressive. New Diablo Immortal trailer from ChinaJoy 2020. The game is now available for pre-registration in China. Planned for release on iOS and Android. pic.twitter.com/VOH1qHQDwM — Daniel Ahmad (@ZhugeEX) July 31, 2020 I'm still of the mind that thi…
Necrobarista developer teases several post-launch DLC chapters
Necrobarista has only been out on iOS for a couple of weeks now, but already developer Route 59 is looking to the future and teasing some post-launch DLC. "That's right - Necrobarista will be getting a bunch of gameplay and story additions," says a blog post on the game's Steam page (thanks, Touch Arcade). The new story content will focus on the game's side characters, including Samantha, Tuan, and Hannah. Several DLC chapters are currently in the works, and what's more is that they'll all be completely free. The first DLC is expected to arrive later this year and will be purely gameplay oriented. According to the developer's post, it'll be especially neat for those interested in the gam…
EVE Echoes confirmed for an August 13th iOS & Android launch
Over the weekend, our sister site Pocket Gamer announced the worldwide release date of much-hyped MMORPG EVE Echoes. Yes, it's finally coming to iOS and Android on August 13th. CCP and NetEase's spinoff to the former's legendary EVE Online has been a long time coming, though with its own unique storyline and tons of mobile-friendly features, it sounds like the game will be worth the wait. I had the chance to try it out at EVE Vegas late last year and came away impressed by its presentation and how the team had adapted such a complex experience for on-the-go play. Most of the best things about EVE Online – the level of choice on offer, complexities of its systems, and giant sandbox…

Marvel Contest of Champions teams up with YouTuber The Hacksmith to create Captain America's arc reactor shield
Marvel Contest of Champions has teamed up with YouTuber The Hacksmith to create Captain America's arc reactor shield. The prototype design was actually inspired by the shield wielded by Contest of Champions' Civil Warrior character. If you're not quite up to date on the different versions of Captain America, the Civil Warrior hails from an alternate Earth ravaged by a violent civil war that broke out between Cap and Iron Man. With Tony now dead at Steve's hands, the Civil Warrior – a mix between the original Captain America and Iron Man – is born. Now, Steve uses Tony's advanced tech to make sure that no similar conflicts arise ever again. The video itself highlights all the…
Apple Arcade's Sneaky Sasquatch, Legend of the Skyfish 2, Manifold Garden, and more get fresh updates
Apple Arcade's latest batch of updates has now arrived, introducing plenty of fresh content to several of its pre-existing games. While there was no new release this week, it's always nice to see some of the service's better titles being updated regularly with new, often high-quality content. So here's a full rundown of the latest additions. Sneaky Sasquatch I never could have guessed that the delightfully silly Sneaky Sasquatch would turn out to be one of Apple Arcade's most popular games, but thanks to regular updates from developer RAC7, that's exactly what's happened. Its most recent update opens up the town hall and allows you to gain a taxi license to start driving unsuspecting NPCs…
Professor Layton and the Unwound Future launches for iOS & Android this month
Professor Layton and the Unwound Future/Lost Future is making its way to iOS and Android devices on July 13th. This one sees Layton partnering up with an older version of Luke for an adventure across time. It launched first in Japan back in 2008, then made its way to western shores in late 2010. It's the third entry in the original Professor Layton trilogy for Nintendo DS, and I seem to remember it being the most popular of the bunch, at least in terms of critical acclaim. Professor Layton and the Lost Future / Unwound Future is coming to mobile devices in HD on the 13th of July, 2020!Remember, a true gentleman never reveals spoilers. #ProfessorLaytonhttps://t.co/wJEBaqkDHn pic.twitter.c…
Mindcell is a story-driven sci-fi shooter pitched somewhere between Deus Ex and Cyberpunk 2077
Mindcell, not to be confused with the legendarily iffy MindJack, is a sci-fi third-person shooter pitched somewhere between Deus Ex and Cyberpunk 2077. You'll be cast as an unwilling science experiment who bursts free of his unenviable fate to discover the truth behind his current predicament. The only problem is that those who sentenced him to death are still on the hunt, all too happy to do anything and everything to get him back. You can expect a story-driven single-player experience with a heavy focus on brutal combat, mixing heavy gunplay with vicious melee fights. When you're not chatting with NPCs or laying the smackdown, there are small puzzles to solve that should help bre…
Trivia Royale passes 2 million downloads and rockets to the top of the US App Store
Ten days after launch, developer Teatime Games' Trivia Royale has amassed over 2 million downloads and shot right to the top of the US App Store. It's basically a quiz-based battle royale where you'll compete against 1000 other players in quickfire 1v1 rounds. As the game progresses, the pool of players will continue to deplete until only two remain, at which point a final 1v1 battle will commence. Over 10 million matches were played over the weekend, meaning that plenty of worthy winners have already earned their place in the game's Royale Lounge. Its customisable avatars are undoubtedly one of its biggest draws. These mimic your facial expressions using fancy face-tracking tech, and yo…
Over the Alps' 'A Test of Character' update improves the Apple Arcade hit's police pursuits
Stave Studios' Over the Alps is set to receive another sizeable update that aims to improve the game's police pursuit system. This follows on from the arrival of its King of the Mountain expansion earlier this month. For those not in the know, this one's a mobile-friendly adventure game where you'll travel across pre-WWII Switzerland while attempting to outwit the authorities and cement yourself as a British superspy. Inspired by Hitchcock's thrillers, it's one of Apple Arcade's best-written and most stylish games. A Test of Character is the name of its latest update, and it's currently planned to arrive this August. A full list of improvements can be seen right here, but the gist is that…
