Halloween comes to Stumble Guys and heralds the return of two past collaborations
It is October, the spooky season, Halloween, the last bastion before the relentless, unforgiving tide of Christmas sweeps over us. Every second counts as we enjoy our precious last moments before THOSE songs hammer into our skulls once more. So whilst we can, let's enjoy the sounds of people falling over again and again in Stumble Guy's seasonal events. Let’s start with the obvious one, the big daddy, the spooky supreme; Halloween. Starting October 24th, you will be able to strap on your proton packs as the Ghostbusters return. You can also dress up as a host of classics as the likes of a vampire, or the Grim Reaper themselves. People get hit by a lot of the course, their business is…
It's the Spooky Symbiote Season as Venom and co invade Marvel Snap
Despite most famously being on the darker side of the moral spectrum, it is hard not to argue that the Symbiotes in Marvel are fantastic. Marvel Snap is honouring this slate of characters in this most fitting month, and no doubt building on the hype for the upcoming film, with the We Are Venom season. Let's dive into the main attraction here; the new symbiote cards. If you like low-cost decks, then Agent Venom is for you. This 2-cost, 4-Power card sets all cards in your deck to 4power, perfect for an early game rush but you will lose a prolonged fight. It might suit Scream though, a 2/2 who once per turn steals 2 Power from a moving enemy card. Discarding the 1/2 Scorn will return it to yo…
Step into the wacky world of GO RUSH in Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links latest update
Konami has announced the longest update name in Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links, with the Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! World Release & Massive Major Update Campaign launching now. Go Rush is the eighth series in the Yu-Gi-Oh banner, and I too have lost track of all of them. What we know for sure though, is this upgrade brings a lot of rewards. Go Rush centres around Yudias Velgear, an alien from Velgear VIII of the Velgear Star Cluster who came to Earth to learn about Rush Dueling to save his planet. It makes you miss Kaiba and his elevator to space. Yudias works with his friends such as Yuamu Ohdo and Yuhi Ohdo, who we will no doubt see in this update. In fact, simply log in and you can get your hands on…
NetEase Games release new trailer for streetball-sim Dunk City Dynasty
If you are looking for a basketball game, pretty much the only one to comes to mind is the NBA series, but what if you want something a little more punchy? Well, NetEase will have you covered, in 2025 at least, as they have released the first trailer for Dunk City Dynasty. What makes Dunk City stand out right off the bat is the fact it is the first streetball mobile Game licensed by the National Basketball Players Association or the NBPA. As such, you will find a huge range of recognisable superstars ready to throw down. You will be able to pick from the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durrant, and even LeBron James to draft your dream team and dominate the court. I personally am a h…
Digital Extremes spills the beans on Waframes Koumei & the Five Fates update coming October 2nd
If you have been aching for a Warframe hit before the monumental 1999 update later this year, you will be well served. Hot off the presses from the Tokyo Game Show, Digital Extremes has lifted the lid on Koumei & the Five Fates, showcasing its new character and mode ahead of the October 2nd release. Waframe has been out for a good while now, and we have all gotten reasonably good at it, so what can you do if you want to mix things up a bit? Well, you could try out the 58th Warframe, Koumei. Dubbed the dice-maiden, here it is built upon RNG, where the luck of the dice rolls will determine your fate. Each time you use an ability, three dice will roll, with triple sixes adding extra bonus…
The seasons march forward in Play Together as Fall graces the island
Play Together has always had one of the more frequent updates and event schedules, as you would expect from a game heavy on the social aspect, but they've gone a step further this time. After releasing collectable lizards a mere week ago, Haegin is already back ushering the new season onto Kaia Island. It is the Fall or Autumn, and the world has gotten a whole lot more orange. Maple leaves have sprung on the trees which can only mean one thing; it is time to alter the ecosystem of Kaia Island drastically. Brandish your bug net and start swinging to capture Cranky Chestnuts and Smiling Acorns. By catching these, I can only assume nightmarish, things, you will collect rewards such as…
Venture into the Outer Ring as Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.2 launches September 25th
I find it a bit of a double-edged sword when developers give their updates cool-sounding names - yes it is intriguing, but you also have to live up to it. HoyYoverse then has given their fledgling ARPG Zenless Zone Zeros’ Version 1.2 a lot to live up to when it launches on September 25th, giving it the rather grand title of Tour de Inferno. In this update, you will make your way to the Outer Ring, an undeveloped and barren area set to be the main area of this chapter. Whilst not looking like much, it is swimming in fuel resources which leads to clashes between rival groups. It's one such battle you shall be wading into, working with the Sons of Calydon as they face off against rivals…
Star Wars: Hunters braces for backlash as a new Ewok character enters the battlefield
If you know about the universe of Star Wars then you might be aware that the introduction of Ewoks in Return of the Jedi was a little bit controversial, to say the least. Star Wars: Hunters then is going to give fans another reason to be potentially peeved as new character Pilbush arrives in the fight. Pilbush is the herald of season 3, dubbed Echoes of the Rebellion. This is a frigid Hoth-themed upgrade that brings with it the Hoth Frontline map and some icy-themed cosmetics. The headline is of course the Ewok themselves, a self-proclaimed Rebel Alliance Superfan with a burning hatred of the Empire. As such, the seasonal clash event will pit Pitbush against Stormtrooper Sentinel, but they…
UNO Mobile host the Ring Royale tournament and have stumped up some intriguing prizes
The card game Uno has been around and stayed popular for decades for one simple reason; it is incredibly good fun. It would not be a lie to say I've spent a lot of time on UNO Mobile because it is such a great recreation. Luckily, Mattel163 has recently kicked off some quite lucrative tournaments for fans much more skilled than I. Dubbed Ring Royale, this tournament puts a lot more at stake than the lifelong friendship you've had with your buddy if you +4 them one too many times. If you have the skills to become the UNO Mobile champion you have net yourself exclusive 3D animated rings, in-game decorations and effort, and up to 160,000 coins. Pretty enticing stuff. The tournament takes plac…
Miraibo GO soars past its first pre-registration milestone
They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and by god, I have not seen a bigger case of this recently than Dreamcubes’ Miraibo GO. It draws heavily from Palworld - the Pokemon with guns clone - and even lifts half of its name directly from Niantic's AR title. The inspiration is blatant, but it's clearly what the people want. It is getting harder and harder for IP to be truly original with the dearth of options already out there, but this one just makes me laugh. That’s not to say Miraibo GO doesn’t have appeal, however. Dramcube has recently revealed that their upcoming mobile game has sped past 200,000 pre-registrations, unlocking its first milestone rewar…
Reverse 1999 celebrates its first anniversary with 100 free pulls up for grabs
In a piece of unbelievable news, Reverse 1999 is celebrating its first anniversary, despite it feeling like it has been much longer. If we choose to believe Bluepoch games about this, I am sceptical, then we too can mark the occasion with Version 1.9, dubbed Vereinsamt. That translates from German to the word Lonely, which you certainly won’t be if you log in during the anniversary season. That is because everyone will receive the free six-star Semmelweis, the five-star Matilda, and 30 free pulls. If you are logging in for the first time, then that number fires up to 100 pulls, a great time to start. You can then throw all these pulls into the Thoughts in Cylinder, for a chance to re…
The wonderful world of Sarah’s Scribbles is now available in a hidden art game
As a chronically online individual, I enjoy quite a few webcomics. Order of the Stick and Strange Planet immediately come to mind, as does Sarah’s Scribbles - anything with silly humour. The author of said Scribbles, Sarah Andersen, is branching out and has released a hidden art game, revolving entirely around cats. The full title of this project is Sarah Andersen Comics “After Owning a Cat”, in partnership with An Infinite Story, which is quite wordy. The one thing the title leaves out is that the game was also collaborated on by Emmy-winning Artist Bobby Chiu, so it has pedigree. Although why an artist needs another artist to collaborate on a game about the first artist'…
Other Tales Interactives sets a launch date for its upcoming artistic experience Miniatures
Back in 2019, a small indie studio called Other Tales Interactive casually dropped a co-op puzzler called Tick Tock: A Tale for Two and then proceeded to set off on what can only be described as an awards tear. Now they are returning with Miniatures, and are looking to do the same again. Tick Tock absolutely took off, winning multiple awards including the 2020 Best Debut from Spilprisen and the 2019 Google Play Most Inventive award. Obviously winning is good, but it's what they got nominated for that is arguably most noteworthy amongst the other dozen nods; the Multiplayer BAFTA in 2020. All this to say, Miniatures should probably be on your radar. Miniatures is a collection of interactive…
Hill Climb Racing 2 announces an explosive collaboration with Super Bomberman R 2
I believe I speak for everyone when I say plentiful explosives make any game better. Who can resist shooting red barrels or launching grenades at any opportunity? Our next source of combustible goodness is from an odd source, however, as Hill Climb Racing 2 is teaming up with a very old friend; Super Bomberman. The Bomberman series has been around in one form or another for a long while, although it feels like their global popularity peaked in the 90s. After a brief hiatus from 2010, the series had a reboot of sorts in 2017 with Super Bomberman R, which spawned a sequel last year, and thus here we are. It is precisely this sequel, Super Bomberman R 2, that is being plastered over Fin…
Witness the return of a mobile gaming legend as Flappy Bird is set to touch down in 2025
Back in late 2013, early 2014, there was a mobile craze that swept the world and found its way onto every piece of hardware people had; I talk, of course, of Flappy Bird. It felt like the biggest thing in the world at the time before being removed from storefronts, but it is about to make its long-awaited comeback. If you are unaware of the backstory to Flappy Bird, it is a fairly simple but frustratingly difficult game where you tap your screen to make a bird fly through columns of pipes. The hitboxes are unforgiving, and you would be lucky if you could make it past a dozen or so before you have to start over. Despite this, it had huge popularity, seemingly from nowhere. Almost overnight,…
